There are around 100 beaches in the area, some of which can only be reached via narrow trails, which is wonderful for trekking enthusiasts and a more adventurous style. The search for a deserted beach is often rewarded with a wonderful sunset.
Those who enjoy a more sporting activity can choose from a variety of possibilities such as: surfing, bodyboarding and diving are at the top of our list of options, but it doesn't stop there. Even climbing is one of the opportunities of this place.

1- Scuba diving at Praia do Cedrinho
Scuba divers and snorkelers share a common sense of accomplishment after diving at Praia do Cedrinho.
Both experienced the beautiful marine life in distinctive underwater environments that few people get to see firsthand in their lifetimes.
None diving it will be identical, precisely because the bottom of the sea lives in constant transformation. For this reason, getting to know the wonders of this place more closely will change your perspectives on Ubatuba.
We strongly recommend diving at Cedrinho with family or friends, this experience will leave your trip in your memory forever.
2 – Schooner rides
The well-known schooner trips are particularly my favorites in Ubatuba and also the most sought after. Most of the time, a tour includes not just a little boat ride, but exploring different islands at once.
Do not leave Anchieta Island and Prumirim Island out of your tour. Pass ancient ruins to more secluded beaches and other hidden natural treasures.
And if you have time, enjoy an experience of scuba diving at Cedro beach.
The diving experience will be incredible and unforgettable, who has the opportunity, never forgets.
3 – Trail in Serra do Mar State Park
Nature here shows its most stunning and imposing side. Take the opportunity to hike through the state park on fixed routes. Don't miss the chance to admire impressive waterfalls and immense mangroves.
Tracking trails can be done over several days. The Ubatuba Tourism Office offers several types of camping, including accompaniment and meals. So why not?
4 – Seven Beaches Trail
The Sete Praias Trail is one of the main and most famous Ubatuba trails! This is a tracking that takes the whole day with an extension of about 10 km and the beaches visited en route are practically empty most of the year.
On the other hand, during the peak periods of the high season, some beaches can be more accessed, frequented, by boat trips, notably Praia do Bonete.
The route starts at Praia da Lagoinha and passes through the beaches of Oeste, Peres, Bonete, Grande do Bonete, Deserto, do Sul and finally Fortaleza.
5 – Spend the day at Praia do Tenório – what to do in Ubatuba
Warmth, beauty and relaxation: Praia do Tenório is a beautiful family spot close to the center of Ubatuba. The beach has a wooded edge, where you can relax in the shade and is flanked by cliffs that give the place a unique appearance.
For the most part, it's calm and ideal for swimming with young children. The exception is the right side.
There the current tends to be a bit more aggressive, but don't worry, the area is often flagged as unsuitable for safety reasons. On sunny days with few waves, the sea takes on beautiful bluish tones.
To enjoy the landscape of Praia do Tenório in all its glory, there is a secret spot. Climb up the rocks that are on the left. Here you will have a unique point of view.
From this beach you can go to Praia Vermelha. It is a 700-meter-long beach with soft, reddish sand covered in shells and a distinctive shore that disappears amidst the exuberant landscape.
It is always very popular with surfers, especially when the waves are bigger.
